How and where can I watch the show?
The venue has two main performance areas, depending on the type of event:
Unicaja Stage: This is the main open-air stage, situated on the hilltop of the castle. It features a ‘Pista’ area (standing room near the stage) and a section with raised seating and VIP boxes.
Fundación Unicaja Stage: A much more intimate, exclusive venue with a limited capacity, situated directly within the parade ground of Sohail Castle.
Venue entrances
To avoid any confusion on arrival, please check carefully which type of ticket you have purchased:
Entrance A (Promenade): Mainly for those with seats in the stands and VIP boxes.
Entrances B and C (By the river / Hotel): Entrances for the general public with floor tickets. There is also a dedicated lane adapted for people with reduced mobility (PRM).
Protocol Entrance: Reserved for institutional guests and the press.
Puerta del Río Entrance: Specific entrance when concerts are held inside the castle (Fundación Unicaja Stage).
Transport and parking arrangements
If you’re coming by car (arrive early!): The car park next to the castle fills up immediately and access traffic often becomes gridlocked. If you decide to drive, do so well in advance. The best options are the free car park at the Miramar Shopping Centre (about a 10-minute walk away) or the Marenostrum Alternative Car Park, which is available during the high season and offers shuttle buses that take you directly to the venue.
The most convenient option (Recommended): Avoid traffic jams and parking problems by travelling with Uber. It’s the quickest way to get to the venue and to get around the Costa del Sol hassle-free.
Return transport (end of the concert)
Shuttle service: The festival usually runs special shuttle buses that operate until 02:00 in the morning, connecting the venue with the main areas of Fuengirola and neighbouring towns.
Train and regular bus services: You can take the Cercanías C-1 line to Fuengirola station, although bear in mind the last train times if the concert finishes late. Local taxis and Uber have a signposted pick-up point near the river.
Food: Where to eat
Don’t worry about looking for restaurants outside the venue before the event. Marenostrum stands out for its on-site dining area: it features a dedicated area housing up to 10 different food stalls and high-quality food trucks (burgers, vegan options, international cuisine, etc.), as well as cocktail bars spread throughout the venue, so you can dine in comfort whilst soaking up the pre-event atmosphere.
